South Loop - Blankets Creek Park
Driving distance to trailhead from our Canton rd. location: 13 miles
4.2 Miles (Advanced) South Loop is our hand-cut, technical trail that brings a real back country feel to Blankets Creek. We do as little maintenance as possible to this trail and try to keep it as natural feeling as we can. This is the favored trail of our more experienced riders that like to mix it up with the roots and rocks. Climbs are longer and steeper than those on the Dwelling Loop, but the real story is the rocks. Rock gardens, rock crossings, rocky switchbacks, rock-n-roll Trail features include switchbacks, creek crossings and a log ride.
Voodoo - Allatoona Creek Park
Driving distance to trailhead from our Canton rd. location: 14 miles
Advanced trail with numerous challenges. Trail maintenance is minimized to provide a backwoods feel.
Bull/Jake Mountain Loop
Driving distance to trailhead from our Canton rd. location: 62 miles
The climbs are moderate, relative to this area, and the same could be said for the decents. You do have to contend with the Lance Creek crossing but it's not a technical crossing. Just be aware if you're riding in cold weather because your feet will likely get wet.
Bear Creek Trail
Driving distance to trailhead from our Canton rd. location: 62 miles
This route is a Free-Flite favorite! This trail is a side trail to the long distance Pinhoti trail, an IMBA epic. Parts of this loop actually include a portion of the Pinhoti known locally as P1. The rest of Pinhoti 1 is presented separately.
Mulberry Gap: Bear Creek, P1 and P2 Loop
Driving distance to trailhead from our Canton rd. location: 70 miles
You start the ride by heading left out of Mulberry Gap, going for a brief downhill. That is the last downhill you'll see in a while. At the first intersection, go right on Old CCC road. This starts up with a bucolic ramble on a dirt road past various private cabins in the national forest. Once you pass the last cabin, the real climbing starts. When you get to the intersection with Conasauga road (also known as Potato Patch road), you of course head uphill rather than staying on CCC which starts to drop after the intersection.
